Not a single drop of Indus River’s water will reach Pakistan: CR Patil

India has suspended the ‘Indus Water Treaty’ with Pakistan following the Pahalgam attack. This decision emerged from a 45-minute meeting between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Minister of Jal Shakti CR Patil on Friday. Patil emphasized that the Modi government’s decision prioritizes national interest.

After the meeting, Patil told the media, “The historic decision taken by the Modi government on the Indus Water Treaty is completely just and in the national interest. We will ensure that not a drop of water from the Indus River goes to Pakistan.”

He announced that immediate work would commence to explore options for sharing water, including dredging rivers to secure and divert water.
