Political storm on Fani: Mamata rejects appeal to meet with PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted an aerial survey on Monday to assess the damage caused by cyclone Fani in Odisha. Here he took stock of the affected areas and held a meeting with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik along with other officials. Odisha to give 1000 million rupees for relief

Prime Minister Modi praised Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik after the meeting ended. He also appreciated the citizens and fishermen of Odisha. Those who took advantage of all the facilities of the government and which led to losses significantly.

The Prime Minister said, everyone, has worked together to fight the storm here. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik did a great job. The people of Odisha have done a great job too. All issues were discussed in the meeting. One thousand crore rupees will be issued by the Central Government.

The Prime Minister further said the team of the Indian Government will come and take stock of the loss. I congratulate the citizens here. The government of India will give Rs two lakh rupees to the families who have lost their loved ones and Rs 50 thousand to the injured.


PM Modi wanted to accompany Odisha to Bengal
At the same time, the central government has claimed that the Prime Minister wanted to do the same for West Bengal but they did not give any support to the government there. PMO sources said that like PM Modi in Odisha, in West Bengal, even today, the cyclone storm wanted to hold a review meeting for the situation created after ‘Phoni’, for which the letter was also written to the government.

But the state government replied in the reply that the government officials are in the election duty and hence the review meeting can not be held. The Government of India wrote the letter to the state for review meeting between the ministers and the state government ministers.
 
Efforts to contact Mamta twice
Earlier on Sunday, the central government had claimed that Prime Minister Madhi had tried to contact West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to get information about the situation created due to Fanni. But it was said to the right that Mamta is on the dais and she will be talked about her arrival. The same answer was given for the second time.

The PMO claimed this Sunday by dismissing the media reports related to the Prime Minister’s decision to frustrate only Governor Kesharinath Tripathi and annoy the Trinamool government.
 
Trinamool leaders dismissed
In response to the Trinamool leaders, the claim was claimed that the Prime Minister called Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik but did not do Mamta Banerjee.
