Putin’s limo explosion sparks paranoia

The Aurus Senate limousine of Russian President Vladimir Putin caught fire following an explosion near the Federal Security Service (FSB) headquarters. The 275,000-pound vehicle was quickly engulfed in flames, with bystanders attempting to extinguish the fire until emergency services arrived.

This incident, reported  on March 29, is believed to have originated in the car’s engine, spreading rapidly to the interior. Smoke filled the area, prompting nearby restaurant employees to assist. Video footage revealed significant damage to the vehicle’s rear, and the cause of the explosion remains unclear. The Aurus limousine designed specifically for Putin by the Russian company NAMI, measures 6.7 meters in length and weighs 2,700 kilograms.

Renowned for its bulletproof construction, it withstands gunfire and explosions. Additionally, it features a self-contained oxygen supply, flat rubber tires, secure communication systems, and various weapons, effectively transforming it into a fortified bunker.
