RPF officials seized Rs 26 lakh worth of marijuana at Secunderabad railway station

Hyderabad: Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials seized 52 kgs of marijuana worth Rs 26 lakh in the Secunderabad railway station on Wednesday night.

According to officials, while conducting regular checking on the railway station platforms, they found four luggage bags abandoned beside a food stall on Platform No.7, towards the Kazipet end side.

Officials  enquired with the rail passengers who were available in the vicinity, shopkeepers and hawkers about the bags, but there was no clarity.

The contraband substance was found wrapped in brown plaster and stuffed in them. Officials started investigation to catch owner.
