Telangana Govt announces Ban on Benefit shows

Hyderabad: Tollywood Film Development Corporation met Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy here on Thursday at the Police Command and Control Room in Banjara Hills and discussed several issues.

During the meeting, The State government sought the industry’s cooperation in a few aspects and likewise the industry personalities also shared their thoughts and discussed the issues faced by the industry.

The government also sought film industry participation in social awareness programmes. The state government also discussed about the tickets prices.

Meanwhile state government also announced a ban on benefit shows in the Telugu film industry. The decision follows the tragic stampede incident at the Sandhya Theater during the premiere of Pushpa 2

The meeting was attended by a group of 36 industry leaders, including prominent figures such as producer Dil Raju, Allu Arvind, actors Nagarjuna and Venkatesh, filmmakers K. Raghavendra Rao, Trivikram, Harish Shankar, and others. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister for Cinematography Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and senior officials including Home Secretary Ravi Gupta and Director General of Police Jitender also participated.
