Washington: Voice has been raised against China in the US Parliament on the issue of the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. A bipartisan bill has been introduced in the US Parliament which supports India on the Arunachal issue while criticizing China. The Bill describes Arunachal as an integral part of India.
China continues to show aggression by claiming the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. Due to this, skirmishes have also taken place between the armies of India and China. In the midst of these incidents, American MPs Jeff Merkle and Bill Haggerty presented a bill in the US Parliament, describing Arunachal Pradesh as an integral part of India. Senator Jeff Merkle, co-chairman of the Congressional-Executive Commission on China of the US Congress, said that America is the leader of freedom in the whole world. and supports the law-based approach. The resolution makes it clear that the US considers Arunachal Pradesh as an integral part of India and not the People’s Republic of China. Criticizing China’s aggression in the bill, the US government has been asked to further strengthen relations with allied countries.

Senator Bill Hagerty said that at this time China continues to pose a threat to freedom in the Indian Pacific Ocean. At such a time, America should stand shoulder to shoulder-with its strategic partners, especially India. Appealing to strengthen the strategic partnership between the US and India, he also spoke of increasing cooperation in the Quad to ensure free movement in the Indian Ocean.
