Rains in Telangana: CM directs officials to stay alert

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy asked officials to take all precautionary steps and safety measures to overcome the damage from rains. He asked officials to stay on high alert.

The Chief Minister instructed all District Collectors to ensure that harvested paddy in procurement centres and markets was protected from rain and moved swiftly to rice mills.

He also stressed the need for appropriate measures to safeguard residents in low-lying areas. He directed GHMC, police, HYDRAA, traffic police, HMWSSB and Electricity departments to work in close coordination to prevent waterlogging, traffic disruptions and power outages.
