NUJ-India campaign continues against Fake News : Ras Bihari

Bhopal : Fake news has become a big problem in the country at present, which is not only dangerous for journalism but also strengthens the anti-social and anti-national forces, so journalists need to stand against fake news.
The National Union of Journalists (India) is running a nationwide public awareness campaign. Information about this effect was given by the National President of NUJI, Mr. Ras Bihari in a press conference today.


Mr. Mr. Ras Bihari has come to Bhopal to attend the two-day conference and working committee meeting of NUJI.
It is noteworthy that representatives of 24 states of the country have come to Bhopal to participate in the two-day National Conference of NUJI and the meeting of the Working Committee. In the conference organized at Hotel Kailash Residency, Patel Nagar, Raisen Road, the major issues to be discussed include connecting journalists from all over the country with the nationwide campaign against Fake News, demand for implementation of Journalist Protection Act, Press Council of India.


Along with the demand for the formation of a media council in place, the formation of the National Media Commission and the creation of a National Journalist Register, the demand for re-introduction of the train travel to journalists is included. Along with discussing the demand for establishing uniformity at the national level by uniting the health insurance of journalists and the Journalist Samman Nidhi, a demand will be made from the central and state governments.


The Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh and National General Secretary of BJP, Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya have been invited as guests in this conference of NUJI, which is going to be held on November 6 and 7.


Along with 400 delegates from different provinces, the members of Press Council of India, Mr. Prasanna Mohanty (Orissa) and Mr. Pragyanand Choudhary (Bengal) are specially attending. The two-day conference and the meeting of the National Working Committee are being organized by the Journalists’ Union of Madhya Pradesh (Jump). State President of Jump Khilwan Chandrakar and General Secretary Pradeep Tiwari gave information related to the conference and informed that the preparations for this mega event have been completed.
