Indian songs banned on Pakistan’s FM Radio station

Amid rising tensions following the Pahalgam attack, Pakistan has halted the broadcast of Indian music on its FM radio stations, as declared by the Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA).

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar supported this immediate action, emphasizing its patriotic significance. This development follows India blocking Instagram accounts of prominent Pakistani actors and banning 16 Pakistani YouTube channels for allegedly spreading provocative content.

Additionally, Pakistan closed its airspace to Indian airlines and suspended all trade with India, citing retaliatory measures after India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty post-attack, which claimed 26 lives. The Indian government warned of severe actions, with Pakistan responding that stopping water flow would be considered “an act of war,” highlighting the escalating conflict between the two nations.
