Islamic Organisation protests in Hyderabad:Demanded to withdrawal Waqf (Amendment) Act

Hyderabad: The Students Islamic Organisation took out a rally and raised slogans against the BJP party and demanded the withdrawal of the Waqf Amendment Bill.

On Friday, The city was rocked by protests over the Waqf (Amendment) Act introduced recently in the country. Protestors came in from Yakutpura, Mallepally, Shaheennagar, Amberpet, and other localities in the city.

In Mehandipatnam, a group of youngsters organised a protest for around half an hour. The protestors holding placards raised slogans against the Bill and termed it as unconstitutional and aimed at targeting a particular community.

At Saidabad, Ujale Shah Eidgah a group of local people staged a protest with similar demands. A protest was also held at Darulshifa grounds by the Darsgah Jihad o Shahadat.

A big rally was taken out at in the city outskirts in which a few hundred people carrying national flags and placards participated.

The police had made elaborate arrangements in the city anticipating protests in the city.
