On Friday, the Enforcement Directorate officials took BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha into custody in the Delhi Liquor case. A team of 12 officials from ED and IT conducted searches at Kavitha’s residence before giving her the notice of being taken into custody.
This event comes at an interesting time, just a day before the announcement of the election schedule in the state.
It is also worth noting that both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Draupadi Murmu were present in the state at the time. This development adds to the already tense political atmosphere surrounding the upcoming elections and raises questions about the involvement of prominent leaders in illegal activities. It remains to be seen how this will affect the upcoming elections and the political landscape of the state.
