New Delhi: According to data updated on Saturday by the Union Health Ministry, India’s total number of cases has risen to over 4.08 crore, with 2,35,532 people testing positive for the coronavirus infection in a single day.
The death toll has risen to 4,93,198, with 871 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, according to data updated at 8 a.m.
The number of active cases decreased by 1,01,278 to 20,04,333, accounting for 4.91 percent of all infections, while the country’s recovery rate is at 93.89 percent, according to the ministry.
According to the health ministry, the daily positivity rate was 13.39 percent, and the weekly positivity rate was 16.89 percent.
The number of people who have recovered from the disease has risen to 3,836,60,710, with a case fatality rate of 1.21 percent, according to the ministry.
The total number of infections has now reached 4,08,58,241, according to the Saturday update.
