Hyderabad: The Excise Department’s State Task Force (STF) seized 82 liquor bottles of various brands, altogether worth Rs 22 lakh.
Officials conducted checks in the Air-Conditioned coaches of Vasco-da-Gama – Secunderabad train coming from Goa to Hyderabad on Sunday.
The STF teams which boarded the train at Shadnagar on the city outskirts carried out searches till Secunderabad. A total of 82 liquor bottles were seized in these checks, which are estimated to be worth Rs 22 lakh. Two persons were detained for questioning.
