Police arrest Chennai techie for making nationwide bomb threat emails

Hyderabad: Police arrested Chennai-based techie, for allegedly sending hoax bomb threat emails to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport ( RGIA).

According to available information, the techie named as Joshilda, a former senior consultant with a reputed Chennai-based firm, targeted schools, a cricket stadium, and a medical college with fake bomb threats.

Joshilda is accused of sending around 21 hoax bomb threats to various institutions across 12 states, including RGIA, in an alleged attempt to frame a former colleague who had rejected her marriage proposal.

The RGIA police have taken her into custody in connection with the two bomb threat cases registered within their jurisdiction. She has since been remanded to judicial custody.
