Senior IPS officer VC Sajjanar takes charge as Hyderabad Police Commissioner

Hyderabad: VC Sajjanar , Senior IPS officer assumed charge as Hyderabad Police Commissioner at Integrated Command and Control Centre ( ICCC) on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Sajjanar stated that, to protect the people from anti social elements, the department will now focus to maintain law and order, traffic and road safety, protection of women and children, adoption of AI-based technology, prevention of cyber and financial crimes, 24/7 citizen services.

He said, past drug-related cases would be reviewed thoroughly, tracing back to the root networks, and legal action taken against all responsible. To counter the threats of cybercrime, awareness programmes would be organised in colonies, apartments, and basthis.

He said, special attention will be paid to drunk-and-drive cases. Those driving under the influence are like terrorists and moving suicide bombs on our roads and will not be tolerated,” he added.
