‘Sharbat Jihad controversy’: Digvijay Singh files complaint against Baba Ramdev over his controversial remark

Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and Congress leader Digvijay Singh has lodged a complaint with the TT Nagar police in Bhopal against yoga guru Baba Ramdev over a controversial remark about a ‘popular drink’ that he claims hurt religious sentiments.

Singh alleged that Ramdev’s comments, made during product promotion, implied that purchasing a popular drink would contribute to the establishment of madrasas in India. He has demanded that an FIR be filed against Ramdev under current laws, stating he will approach the court if no action arises within a week. Additional DCP  confirmed receiving Singh’s written complaint and mentioned that an investigation is currently underway.
