Suryakumar reclaims IPL 2025 Orange Cap from kohli and sudarshan

Mumbai Indians’ Suryakumar Yadav claimed the Orange Cap in IPL 2025 after scoring an unbeaten 48 runs off 23 balls against Rajasthan Royals, bringing his season total to 475 runs. This positioned him ahead of Virat Kohli (443 runs) and Sai Sudharsan (456 runs).

Suryakumar has played 11 matches, while Kohli and Sudharsan have played 10 and 9 matches, respectively. Yashasvi Jaiswal from Rajasthan Royals remains fourth with 439 runs. Several players, including Jos Buttler (406 runs) and Nicholas Pooran (404 runs), have also surpassed the 400-run mark.

In the Purple Cap standings, Josh Hazlewood leads with 18 wickets, followed by Prasidh Krishna with 17. Trent Boult from Mumbai Indians took three wickets on Thursday, placing him third with 16 wickets in 11 matches, just behind Noor Ahmad’s 15 wickets in 10 matches.
