Hyderabad: The Shilparamam Madhapur Divisional Level Folk Festival was inaugurated today with great enthusiasm and fervor. The three-day festival, showcasing the rich culture and heritage of Telangana through folk dances, is being jointly organized by Shilparamam Madhapur and South Central Zone Cultural Center Nagpur.
The festival was graced by the presence of esteemed guests such as Shilparamam Special Officer Shri Kishan Rao IAS and Dr. Mrs. Sumita S Kumar Superintending Archaeologist. The first day of the festival saw captivating performances of Telangana folk dances such as oggu Dolu, Dappu, Perini, and Mathuri. The festival will continue till 13th October with the inclusion of “Sarees of India, Bathukamma & Dasara Festival” at the Shilparamam Madhapur premises. This will give visitors the opportunity to witness and purchase exquisite handloom sarees from all over India.
The evenings will be filled with cultural programs, including dance performances and vocal concerts. The Special Officer urged everyone to come and be a part of this cultural extravaganza and make it a grand success.
