Notable beneficiaries included Gopi Krishna, who transitioned into renewable energy, and a female entrepreneur from Raipur who built a successful café. Mudassir Naqshbandi, owner of Bake My Cake in Kashmir, shared his journey from job seeker to employer of 42, thanks to UPI transactions. Other stories included Suresh from Silvassa and Lavkush Mehra from Bhopal, showcasing significant earnings growth. The Prime Minister urged youth to leverage government schemes for entrepreneurial success.
A woman from Manali transitioned from a vegetable market worker to a successful entrepreneur with the help of ₹32.5 lakh in Mudra loans. After repaying her ₹2.5 lakh loan in 2.5 years, she now earns ₹10 to ₹15 lakh annually. An Andhra Pradesh entrepreneur, who became a jute bag producer post-training in 2019, utilized a ₹2 lakh Mudra loan and repaid it, earning an additional ₹9.5 lakh in 2022.
Poonam Kumari from Bihar, with her husband’s support, secured an ₹8 lakh loan in 2024 for a seed business, achieving a monthly income of ₹60,000.
Prime Minister Modi praised the Mudra Yojana for empowering women, fostering entrepreneurship, and facilitating self-reliance across India, highlighting its transformative impact, especially for marginalized groups.
