Central to release funds to Polavaram project in 2025-26 budget

Hyderabad : The central government is ready to allocate the budget to Polavaram project. The central government has approved the revised cost of the Polavaram project at ₹30,436.95 crore.

This allocation mirrors last year’s budget, which also earmarked ₹12,000 crore for the Polavaram project.

Andhra Pradesh state government aim  to complete this crucial initiative by 2028. The Centre committed to facilitating funds in the form of loans to support capital construction in Amaravati, totalling ₹15,000 crore in the previous budget.

The AP government has formally requested the central to release of funds for expenses already incurred on the project.
