Cheers to the Charan Amrit: Mathura Temple Devotees Believe in the Power of AC Water!

Videos have become a popular way to capture and share experiences on social media, and a recent one from Mathura’s Banke Bihari temple has caught the attention of many. The video shows followers eagerly waiting for water to flow from an elephant sculpture on the temple grounds, believing it to be “charan amrit” or holy water.

However, the truth behind this phenomenon has been revealed – the water is actually a discharge from an air conditioner installed in the sanctum sanctorum. Despite this revelation, devotees continue to believe that they are receiving sacred water and can be seen collecting it in paper cups and placing it on their heads.

The temple custodian, Ashish Goswami, has clarified that this is not “charan amrit” and that the notion of water falling from the elephant structure is nothing but a rumor. He emphasizes that true “charan amrit” can only be obtained within the temple and not from any other source. However, some devotees remain convinced that this is indeed holy water and attribute it to their good deeds.

Social media users have had mixed reactions to the videos, with some calling it foolishness while others point out that blind faith is prevalent in our society. This incident serves as a reminder to question our beliefs and not blindly follow rumors or superstitions.
