Coffins of pahalgam terror attack victims reach Srinagar Airport

As the nation mourns the tragic loss of innocent tourists in a terror attack, coffins of victims were brought to Srinagar airport. State representatives have arrived to assist in returning victims and tourists home. This incident marks one of the most significant terror attacks since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, but official casualty numbers have yet to be confirmed.

Karnataka Minister Santosh Lad is coordinating efforts on behalf of his government, joined by officials from other states. To support an increase in tourist movement, Air India has scheduled additional flights to Delhi and Mumbai.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu is actively coordinating with the Home Minister to arrange more flights while monitoring fares to avoid price spikes. In response to heightened tensions, police have installed concertina wires for enhanced security, deploying choppers for surveillance.

The Pahalgam community, affected by the attack, has called for a shutdown, with local leaders urging thorough investigations into the incident.
