E-auction for 1222 items donated to the Prime Minister will begin on Saturday

New Delhi, 16 September (HS): The e-auction of gifts received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin from Saturday (September 17) morning. This time 1,222 gifts and mementos including a statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose have been included in the e-auction. These include Ram Darbar, a replica of the Ram temple and Vishwanath temple being built in Ayodhya, a giant trident of Shiva, paintings based on folk arts and sports equipment

Union Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy told reporters on Friday that in continuation of this initiative started four years ago, this time also the auction of gifts received by the Prime Minister is being started from Saturday. This year 1,222 gifts and mementos have been put up for e-auction. People can place bids by visiting the website of PM Memontos.in. The auction will run till October 2.


Reddy informed that the money received from these gifts will be given through Namami Gange for the auspicious work of conservation of river Ganga. The National Modern Art Gallery has some of the gifts on display for free to visit, but the e-auction website displays all the mementos. More and more people should participate in this auction.
