Gujarat Elections: centenarian woman cast her vote

Ahmedabad : There is tremendous enthusiasm among the people regarding their voting on the great festival of democracy. Elderly, sick, disabled etc. people also voted with full enthusiasm. A centenarian woman cast her vote in Boudhan village of Mandvi tehsil of Surat district.

Amina Dharia, a 101-year-old woman living in Patel Falia in Boudhan village of Mandvi tehsil of Surat district, cast her vote at the public high school booth in her village in Mandvi assembly constituency on Thursday.

On this occasion, she told that since independence till date, she has got the opportunity to vote in many elections. In her life, she has seen many elections from close quarters. Examined the working of many governments. Amina told that she is not aware of how long her life savings are, but she will definitely vote as long as she is alive.
