Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the YUGM conference at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on Tuesday at 11 am. On this occasion, he will also address the gathering.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said on Monday that YUGM (which means confluence in Sanskrit) is the first of its kind strategic conference that will involve leaders from the government, educational institutions, industry, and the innovation ecosystem. This conference aims to enhance India’s innovation journey through a ₹1,400 crore collaborative project, funded by the Wadwani Foundation and government entities.
Significant initiatives will be launched, including a Superhub in AI at IIT Kanpur and another in Bioscience, Health, and Medicine at IIT Bombay, alongside the creation of Wadwani Innovation Network (WIN) centers to support research commercialization.
High-level discussions with government officials, industry leaders, and academics will focus on accelerating impactful research and showcasing deep-tech startups.
The conclave seeks to drive private investment in the innovation ecosystem, expedite research commercialization, strengthen partnerships among education, industry, and government, and align national innovation initiatives towards a developed India by 2047.
