Hyderabad: The Telangana State Medical Council (TSMC) has been consistently conducting inspections of small private clinics and first aid centres in Kukatpally, Miyapur, Alwal, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Moula Ali etc.
TSMC has come across instances where private healthcare facilities are registered under the name of a qualified MBBS doctor, but on the majority of occasions, they are often not available for consultations.
In some areas, the clinic/first aid centre is registered under MBBS doctor but,a compounder with no MBBS qualification will be operating and providing treatment to gullible patients. Families of daily wagers depend on small private clinics and first aid centres located near their settlements.
Moreover, TSMC issued notices to such doctors through our Ethics Committee.
