U.S. Vice President Vance lands in New Delhi, visits Akshardham Temple

JD Vance arrived in Delhi at 9:30 am with his wife Usha and their three children—Ewan, Vivek, and Maribel—and went directly to Akshardham Temple. He is set to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday evening at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg.

Vance’s itinerary also includes visits to Jaipur and Agra on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, before departing on Thursday morning. Upon arrival at Palam airport, Vance and his family were welcomed by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and received a ceremonial Guard of Honour.

The Ministry of External Affairs indicated that Vance and PM Modi will engage in discussions on various topics, reflecting the Comprehensive Strategic Global Partnership between the United States and India.

To facilitate smooth traffic, Delhi’s traffic police have issued advisories advising the public to avoid certain routes.
