Hyderabad: Miss World 2025 celebrations made Hyderabad’s iconic Charminar and historic Laad Bazaar In rich cultural heritage. The event to host on May 13, over 120 contestants from across the globe, including India, the USA, Venezuela, South Africa, Canada, and others.
In the event, Participants will explore the Charminar, built in 1591 and a contender for UNESCO World Heritage status, alongside Laad Bazaar, famous for its 400-year legacy of selling bangles, pearls, and Islamic handicrafts. The event will be broadcast live in over 150 countries, showcasing the city’s charm and potentially boosting tourism, aligning with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s goal of promoting Telangana internationally.
Additionally, preparations are underway at Gachibowli Stadium for the 72nd Miss World pageant, set to open on May 10 and conclude on May 31. More than 109 contestants are rehearsing for the event, focusing on stage walks and cultural performances. The stadium is equipped with enhanced security, designated media areas, and fire safety systems for this prestigious occasion. This year, India is hosting the Miss World Festival for the second year in a row, with contestants from over 100 countries expected. Nandini Gupta from Rajasthan represents India in this esteemed beauty pageant.
Rehearsals for the opening ceremony took place at Gachibowli Stadium, where contestants practiced their performances, including stage movements, choreographed entries, and cultural segments, led by event coordinators. The Telangana government aims to utilize the event to globally promote its culture and tourism.
