Hyderabad: Six people were killed and 20 others injured in the early hours of Wednesday when a private bus heading from Hyderabad to Vijayawada rammed a truck in the Suryapet district of Telangana. According to reports reaching here from the scene, the accident took place around 5.20 am near Durgapuram stage in Kodad mandal, when the bus, carrying 43 people, hit a truck on the road. The injured were rushed to local hospitals.
Police have started an inquiry into the accident.
The bus was on its route from Hyderabad to Vijayawada. The bus has gone into a truck. In the collision between private bus and truck, many have been injured. A Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy asked Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao to ensure adequate treatment to the passengers who were injured in the road accident that occurred this morning in Suryapet.
The Chief Minister’s Office stated that appropriate measures had been ordered for them by the CM to provide assistance to the injured.
The police has a case against the bus. The Chief Minister’s Office mentioned in a press release that the Chief Minister instructed theChief Secretary to make sure all the arrangements are made to help those injured. The causes of the collision are not immediately clear.
